  • You'll arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and be transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
  • Depending on your arrival time, you might have a pre-climb briefing with your tour operator and guide.
  • The climb starts at the Lemosho Gate.
  • You'll trek through lush rainforest, home to a variety of flora and fauna.
  • The day's hike ends at Big Tree Camp, where you'll spend the night.
  • The trail continues through the rainforest and eventually opens up to moorland and heath.
  • You'll reach Shira 1 Camp, situated at a higher elevation and offering great views.
  • The trail takes you to Shira Plateau and onward to Moir Hut.
  • This portion of the route is less traveled, providing a quieter and unique experience.
  • You'll cross the Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Camp.
  • The Barranco Camp is nestled in a valley beneath the impressive Barranco Wall.
  • The day starts with a steep ascent of the Barranco Wall.
  • The trail then leads through alpine desert landscapes to Karanga Camp.
  • This day involves trekking to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt.
  • You'll rest and prepare for the challenging summit push, typically starting at midnight.
  • The final ascent begins in the early hours, aiming to reach Uhuru Peak for sunrise.
  • After conquering the summit, you'll descend back to Barafu Camp and further down to Mweka Camp.
  • The final descent takes you to Mweka Gate.
  • At the gate, you'll receive your summit certificates and celebrate your achievement.
  • You'll then be transported back to your hotel for well-deserved rest and recovery.
