Tour Plan

  • You'll arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and be transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
  • Depending on your arrival time, you might have a pre-climb briefing with your tour operator and guide.
  • Begin the climb from Marangu Gate.
  • Trek through dense rainforest, witnessing various plant and animal species.
  • Reach Mandara Hut, the first accommodation point on the route.
  • Continue through the rainforest and into the heath and moorland zone.
  • Pass by Maundi Crater for spectacular views.
  • Arrive at Horombo Hut, where you'll spend the night.
  • This day is dedicated to acclimatization.
  • You'll hike to a higher altitude and then descend back to Horombo Hut.
  • It's an essential step to enhance your chances of successfully reaching the summit.
  • Ascend through the alpine desert landscape.
  • Reach Kibo Hut, the base camp for the summit attempt.
  • Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the upcoming challenging climb.
  • Begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak (the summit) around midnight.
  • Trek through the night, aiming to reach the summit for sunrise.
  • After reaching Uhuru Peak, descend back to Kibo Hut and further down to Horombo Hut.
    • Descend through the rainforest to Marangu Gate.
    • Receive your summit certificates and celebrate your achievement.
    • Transfer back to your hotel for a well-deserved rest and recovery.
